Step 3: Personal Brand or Faceless Channel?
Faceless channels are easier to start. But personal brands convert better. Think about it — have you ever bought a course from a faceless channel? Probably not. A face builds trust. One client, Whiz of Ecom, went viral after revealing his face. Start faceless if you’re shy, but plan to transition into personal branding.
Step 4: Use the ICON Method for Viral Videos
Look for videos with at least 5x the views of the channel’s subscribers. For example, Grant Collins has a video titled “What You Should Learn Before Cybersecurity 2023” — 1.2M views and only 220K subscribers. The title isn’t even well-written. That’s an opportunity for you to make something better.
Step 5: Leverage AI Tools for Title and Outline
Use tools like Title GPT to craft compelling video titles. Then run a prompt in ChatGPT or Claude to generate a detailed outline. Add your own insights to make it authentic and relatable. Example prompt: “Create a YouTube video outline for IT pros transitioning to cybersecurity.”
Step 6: Record Your First Video
Start with what you have — a smartphone, earbuds, and a quiet space. Use free tools like OBS Studio or Loom for screen recording. Improve poor audio using Adobe Podcast. Pro tip: Place your outline just behind your camera for a DIY teleprompter setup.
Step 7: Batch Produce Content
Research and outline four videos in one day. Record all four the next day in the same setup. Use Descript or CapCut for editing. Each video takes 15 minutes to clean up. That’s one month’s worth of content in under 6 hours.
